American artist Jacob Farkas was born in Brooklyn, into a family with a history of watercolors. He fell in love with painting at the age of 10 and after graduating from high school enrolled at The City University of New York where he received his BFA degree.
Jacob Farkas has received various awards for his paintings, which have been included in numerous exhibitions and collections. His work can be found across the country, as well as overseas. Jacob spends time painting at home and also outdoors on location.
Jacob Farkas has developed his own distinctive painting style over the last 15 years. His watercolors are full of luminous color, rich shadows, and beautifully drawn shapes. With meticulous attention to composition, he crafts paintings that are descriptive but also expressive, realistic but also abstract. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York where he paints.
